GM has a long and proud history of making wild claims about future products. The company is currently hemorrhaging money and is surviving on government bailouts (i.e. your tax dollars). Their current product line is fat with gas-hogs and their new-product development cycle is pathetically slow. Therefore, concockting disneyland stories about incredible Buck Rogers future cars is probably the best tactic for their CEO to take right now.

It's 230. And it's electric. It costs money to charge and the electric part has limited range, so you have to take that into consideration when you are looking at total cost.
