Any opinions on the New Chevy Volt 230 MPG?

It's said to have 230 MPG and 100 MPG on highways

I don't even know how that is possible! But dam if it is at $40k would you be wanting one?

Mine makes only about 20mpg!!! Yes, I think I know what will be my next new car purchase.

Well, we have been waiting on this thing for 3 years...
And, since you have to plug it in, won't it increase electric consumption... those coal fired plants creating MORE emissions...

And, what about the fact that they have NO plans on disposing of the batteries (which have some pretty nasty chemicals in them)

$40k AND a higher electricity bill?
How does this thing jibe with Cap and Trade?
