I just spent 4 hours at a repair shop and they couldn't find it. I ended up paying 300 for a new thermostat and radiator flush and it is still freezing in my car but I cant find the specs to fix it myself anywhere...anybody able to help?

most newer vehicles no longer have a heater control valve to stop water from entering the heater core, they have doors in the evaporator/heater box which open to the cold or hot side to regulate the temp. you probably have a door motor bad or disconnected. run the vehicle till it reaches operating temp and then find the two water lines that run from the engine to the firewall and see if they are both hot with the engine running. if they are then you have a blend door problem under the dash, if not then you have a water flow problem. if it is a water problem you can remove both lines from the engine and flush through them with a hose to see if the restriction is in the heater core or hoses. if all is good there you have a flow problem in the engine which would be strange on such a new vehicle

On almost every vehicle the heater control valve is located on the passengers side under the hood by the windshield.Kinda looks like a funky weed bong.ys gotta couple of hoses running to it.
