2007 Chevy Tahoe - Hot only when engine is running. ?

Anyone how of a +12 wire that is hot only when the engine is running,
Alternator turning, I would prefer that the wire in close to the steering column.
I need 12volts only when the running.
Key (acc) power doesn't help.

take a test light to the fuse box under dash, look for (ign) spades and look for power, with key off then with key on, it all depends on what it is for also, voltage matters.
