Why is the Congress / Senate ( I don't really know which ) trying to make sure the GM CEO resigns? Could they be owned by the oil companies? They don't want to see the success of an electric vehicle? Or is he just a bad CEO? I don't know much about it, but GM at least APPEARS to be trying.

Because it's still stupid.
How long have they been a CEO?
How long have Electric vehicles been around? (and no, a few years, is not the right answer. Electric vehicles were used as early as the 1800s).
So....for them to come out with only ONE electric vehicle, isn't an attempt. It's sad. It's a desperate plea, to try to show they're doing something useful, in the final moments. But the rest of the time? No contribution at all.
Rather insulting to us consumers, actually.
I'll overjoice when the big 3 get shut down. For decades they've been behind the curve of the industry. And now they want our support because we need to Buy American?
Forget that.
Make a better product. Get better support.
