I read all these articles about the Chevy volt which they are hoping will come out in 2010. The main idea of this is that the car with go 40miles on electricty alone so if you are just going back and forth to work everyday you may never have to use gas. This is a great concept and all but I have never found an article giving an estimate on the energy use. If I have to plug up a huge battery for charging then won't I be paying just as much on my electric bill as I would for gas in the car? Please someone let me know if you have any info on this.
